The Member Spotlight is an experimental, bi-weekly event that equally offers proactive, creative members of our community an opportunity to be featured throughout CyberConnect LLC's corporate website.
Many members in the past have said that they do not receive sufficient attention from the community for something they have put much time and hard work into. In the present, certain members of the CC community have set up camp in a forum of their choice, harnessing their creative ideas, while occasionally visiting other areas at their whim. It is these members that we, as a company supported by our community, wish to give an opportunity to be spotlighted on our website.
+ More Topic Views: You have a greater opportunity to have your topic be one of the first places visitors hit when they arrive anywhere on the CC Corp. website.
+ Assured Exposure: If your topic has been neglected in the past beneath others who update more frequently, this could change upon becoming spotlighted.
+ Equal Appreciation: Active and progressive members who call this community home are showing that they believe in CC Corp.'s ideals and goals by improving the quality of their home. This is how we can give back as we develop our products.
NOMINATION PERIOD
At the end of a previously spotlighted member's two week period, members from the community will have the opportunity to nominate ONE member to be up for a chance at becoming a spotlighted member. This nomination period will last a maximum of two days. Members can nominate themselves, but that will count towards their single member nomination.
To nominate someone, you must write a post in the following fashion:
I nominate [username] for their [insert name of topic] topic because [insert legitimate reasons].
NOTE: Your explanation for nominating someone must be a minimum of two full sentences. Any nominations not done in this fashion are automatically voided.
All nominations will be compiled into a poll that will list ALL who have been nominated. This means that even if you nominated yourself, and you were the only one, you will still be added onto the poll.
VOTING PERIOD
Voting will last for a maximum of three days. The member who receives the most votes will become the new Member Spotlight.
As a candidate for being on the Member Spotlight, you are expected to uphold the Terms of Use of this community while being a constructive, respectable member of the CC community. Those who are unable to do so are in no position to be featured by our company.
You cannot be nominated (and your nomination will become void) if you fall into one the following:
+ Your account has been set to WARNED or MODERATED within the last two weeks or within the nomination period.
+ The topic you are being nominated for is not an original work/idea.
+ You have already been spotlighted in the past for that topic.
+ You were the previous member to be spotlighted.
You will be removed from the Member Spotlight if you fall into one of the following:
+ Your account is set to WARNED, MODERATED, or BANNED at any time during your two-week spotlighting.
This event is run on a FIRST STRIKE system. In other words, anyone who is found running any semblance of a "campaign" to encourage members to vote for them and/or suspected of "stuffing the ballot box" by telling members to vote for them will be removed from the voting and restricted from all future nomination periods.
The location for where nominations and voting will take place will be worked out within the next two weeks. However, the first nomination period will not start until one month (early February) from now. Don't worry, because this only gives you time to start up your own topic and make the CyberConnect community that much more of a wonderful place.
