The following are questions that newcomers to the site might inquire about. If you have a non-listed question that you believe others like yourself will have, please contact the webmaster with your inquiry.

1. What is CyberConnect LLC?
CyberConnect LLC is a small corporation that started as a .hack fan project back in 2004. The fan project has grown over the years, turning from a one man operated FreeWebs webpage and a game server that was down 75% of the time, to a multi-employee Delaware LLC.
2. Is this company the REAL CyberConnect from the .hack games?
Due to .hack is a fantasy series, the CyberConnect Corporation from the games and anime is well… fantasy. Although CC is a corporation, we are no where near the multi-million dollar company portrayed in the series.
With that said, we are also not the makers of .hack. That title belongs to CyberConnect2 Ltd. of Japan.
3. If you're using CC Corp's name, why hasn't anyone sued you for copyright infringement?
The reason is simple: due to we do not infringe on their copyrights. We keep in contact with Bandai Namco from time to time, so they are fully aware of our existence, and have been for several years. If anyone remembers the old ALTIMIT Corporation promotional site, we were the CyberConnect that helped out during that.
We run a fan game, but we try our best to use content not owned by CyberConnect2.
4. How is this CC Corporation different from the .hack series one?
As stated above, we are not a multi-million dollar corporation. Our game was not programmed by an old, dead, German guy (in contrast, it was originally made by a 15 year old, alive, German kid). Our games have yet to have anyone fall into comas while playing them (knock on wood). We did not have a fire that burned down our office (because we don’t have a physical office).
5. What is the primary goal of this CC Corp.?
Currently, CyberConnect LLC is working on releasing a functional version of The World. We do have another project we are working on, though that has yet to be revealed. All of our products to date though relate to Online Gaming, although not necessarily to .hack.
6. What does CC Corp have to offer once I'm a member of this website?
Currently CyberConnect’s website only provides an online community for the future home of The World and other CC Corp. products. We provide news related to the game and other projects.
7. Is this website considered a fan-site? If so, how can it also be considered a company?
This site started off as a purely fan based site. We still hold true to that, though in the process we have formed a corporation behind it all: CyberConnect LLC.
8. In The World, will I be able to be the next Kite or Haseo?
Though you most likely will not be saving your friend from a coma in the real world, Role Playing is welcomed on The World. Though, users are encouraged to create their own story. If you want to go through the adventures of Kite or Haseo, we recommend you play the PS2 games.
9. If I have a problem, or find a problem, who should I contact?
Your best bet would to be to contact a Moderator or post a topic on the BBS. Many people feel it is best to jump right to contacting someone such as Joseph Stacko (the President and CEO of CyberConnect LLC), though generally that is not the case. If the problem is something only an upper level staff can handle or deal with, they will do so. But by contacting them right off the bat, you are simply slowing the progress of The World.
10. Who runs CC Corp.?
As stated above, CyberConnect LLC is run by multiple employees. Each staff member has a different job, but there are a few common aspects of all of them.
First off, the staff makes no money from this site at the moment (in actuality, they loose money). We hope that this will change as time goes on, but because of this fact we do not devote all of our time and energy into CC Corp.
Also, many of the staff of The World are students or have full time jobs, as well as other activities, and to be blunt, lives outside of CC.
At the same time though, the staff of CC is driven to provide the users, to the best of their abilities, a recreation of The World.
11. How can I become a staff member of CC Corp.?
The best bet would be to wait for a CC Corporation announcement or post. Many people believe that by asking staff to become an admin or moderator, they will get a position. Most of the time, this turns the staff of to said user, and causes them to ignore future requests by that person. So please, do not beg for a position. Staff positions are filled as we need them and by the people we feel would best suit the position.
12. As a user of CC, do I have any responsibilities?
As a member of CyberConnect, you not only agree to the Terms of Service of this site, but also you agree to be a respectful user (to both staff as well as other members), be patient about The World, and to respect the staff’s choices. Now, that does not mean you cannot speak out against the staff’s decisions or voice your opinion. But do it in an orderly fashion please.
Finally, a strange rule we have here on CC. Please no advertising of any sort. Whether it is for your game, your webpage, your Role Play site, etc, we would appreciate you do not post links for them. It is one thing talking about games such as “World of Warcraft” or your Blog, so long as links are not posted.
The one exception to this rule would be for The World fan sites. So if your guild has a webpage, you are more than welcome to post the link to that.
Finally, you are welcome to post links in personal website section of your profile.
